Look What My Thrifting Fairy Godmother Found For Me #2

My Thrifting Fairy Godmother was with me again this month and she has been kind very, very kind!

First I got this blanket $2 it's polar fleece and I plan on making a jacket for Madeleine out of it, I love polka dots.

Next and I think it's my favourite score, this leather beauty case $4, as soon as I saw it I knew what I was going to use it for, funnily enough my little two had exactly the same idea for it, and I haven't had the heart to take it off them (You can read that as they are so entertained by it, it's not worth the double tanty to take it back!)

Leather suitcase for $5 seriously awesome and I have plans for it so the price was right.

And this, it's a HUGE frame, I have a bit of an experiment I was to try out and I'm willing to risk an thrift store frame for it.

Have you got anything fun lately?

Mel xo

  1. Love the beauty case ! So much you can do with it :-) I'd gone to the charity store the other day, but there was already a couple of people at the door waiting {they only allow about 3 - 4 people in at a time} so, I left because I was in a hurry - nothing for me then :-(

  2. The answer is NO I haven't. Lol! I've been looking but I don't have an eye for those things. But you, on the other hand, can really find some great bargains!

  3. That beauty case is a beauty! Love it! I just found two miniature cafe chair and table sets that remind me of Paris. I have no idea what I'll do with them yet, but I love them anyway.

  5. I can't wait to see the jacket you make out of the blanket. That's the cleverest idea. I used a table cloth to cover a window seat and loved it. Great job at the thrift store!

  6. That beauty case is a real score, Mel. I had one in exactly the same style and only gave it away a few years ago, before I got back into sewing. I so wish I'd kept it!!! Maybe the kids will tire of it soon!!!

  17. That makeup case is AMAZING. Hoping the little ones lose interest in it quick. If it were Grace, it would already be abandoned for something else. You definitely scored big this month :)

  18. The winner is the leather makeup case! You are bigger than the kids and you can make them give it back to you. On the other hand, it's a pretty cheap way to entertain them.

Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment, between housework and 5 kids, this is the only thing I get out of bed for ;)
